This is our FAQ section where you can find answers to basic questions about the workings of KayaCrafts and acts as a guide through the maze of the most common issues.

New Crafters

Go to our Sell on KayaCrafts page to learn how to become part of our community and open your shop from there by following the directions.

Any item that is handmade. 
The only factory made items that are allowed will be limited to the Craft Supplies and Tools section.

Products that are commercially made unless it is displayed in the Craft supplies and tools section.
Products that are resold.
Products that violates KayaCrafts.co.za’s Terms and Conditions or Privacy Policy.
Any product or service that violates the law in regard to manufacturing, distributing, advertising or transporting of the product.
Firearms, fireworks, explosives and hazardous products.
Illegal drugs and alcohol.
Products gained from the harming of animals.
Stolen products or products not in your possession or products you don’t intend to deliver.
Misrepresented products.
Harmful, harassing, intimidating or defamatory products.
Any product or service that KayaCrafts.co.za determines to be inappropriate, harmful, fraudulent, or illegal.

Anyone who resides within the borders of South Africa. 

We are committed to offering a collection of unique handcrafted products of the highest quality to our buyers.  Each new item that is listed is vetted to meet or exceed our expectations.  We will contact you if we feel your products aren’t a good fit for KayaCrafts.

Your shop

Yes, you can.  It is important for you as a small business owner to maintain your brand, so we strongly encourage that you use the same name.

Yes. We do encourage that you share your social media presence so your fans can find and follow you.
To help you with this we have make it easy by doing everything for you.  Go to your dashboard -> Settings -> Social Profile.

We suggest a minimum of 5 photos per product but add as many as possible to show off your item.  Your images are your main selling point.

Your account

Contact us using the ‘Contact Admin’ button on the sellers dashboard and we will close your account.
You will receive an email to confirm that your account has been deactivated.

No, you can’t.  Your account is non transferable.  Our system is able to detect your IP address and filters your access accordingly.
What is an IP address?

It is a unique address that computing devices such as personal computers, tablets, and smartphones use to identify itself and communicate with other devices.

Payments

We take the marketing of your shops very seriously.  Your once-off joining fee is solely put to use to market KayaCrafts and your shops.  The more buyers we can bring to your shops the happier we all are.

Payments are made twice a month if your account balance is R200 or over.  Those with surnames from A-M will be paid in the middle of the month and those with surnames from N-Z will receive payment at the end of the month.

Payments are made via EFT to your bank account when your account balance is R200 and over.  Please allow 2-3 working days for the transaction to be completed.
